Six rules, and a short list of things we won't build.
"No Roblox after eight" is not a rule. It's a wish.
Put the site on the list and it does not open on that Chrome. No warning, no timer in the corner, no "are you sure". The page is a wall that says it's blocked and to ask a parent. Your kid can see the list. Only your PIN changes it. Only your PIN opens a site, for fifteen minutes or an hour, and then it shuts again by itself.
Blocks the site and every page under it, including subdomains, before it loads. No content, no ads, nothing to be pulled back into.

They heard the word at school. Tonight they'll Google it.
Give Parentech the words. A search that contains one of them never runs. Not filtered, not blurred: the results page does not exist, on Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yahoo, Brave, Ecosia, Startpage, Yandex, and inside YouTube's own search box. Your kid sees a wall with the word on it. Paste the whole list at once, and add to it from your phone when you hear the next one.
Matches the word anywhere in the search, in any letter case. "prank" catches "best pranks ever" and "PRANK".

The lesson is on. So is YouTube, in the tab behind it.
Flip it around. A class in Parentech is a name, a length, and the two or three sites the lesson actually needs. Start it and those are the only sites that open. Everything else is a wall that says "class in progress". Tabs that were already open on something else get pulled in. It ends when the timer ends or when you enter your PIN, and not before. Then you get the report.
Allows only the sites you listed, plus the sign-in pages a school account needs, so joining Meet or Classroom still works.

Parentech counts active time per site. Only the tab in front. Only while someone is actually at the keyboard. Paused the moment the screen goes idle. Today and the last seven days, sorted by where the time actually went. It stays on the computer, so it's a number you put on the table between you and your kid, not a report to anyone else.

Tell Parentech the channel, the video, or the word. A blocked video shows a full-screen notice and stays paused no matter how many times they press play. A blocked channel or word disappears from the home feed, the search results and the sidebar, so it isn't there to click. Block the video you're looking at from the toolbar, or from your phone.
Blocks a video by its link or its 11-character ID. Opening it shows the notice and pauses the player.

Ask a parent. The block list is protected by their PIN.
One video. An hour later they're still there, and it's Shorts.
Take the hooks out and leave the video. Hide Shorts. Hide the home feed. Hide the recommendations beside the video. Hide the comments, the end cards, the notifications bell. Turn autoplay off. Each one is a switch. Search still works, so they can find the thing they came for, and nothing else finds them.

A history feed
No list of what your child visited. Reading it changes your relationship more than any block does.
Screenshots or keylogging
Not collected, not stored, not an upgrade tier. This is a rule-keeper, not a monitor.
Selling anything to anyone
There is no free tier because there is nothing else to sell. You pay for the rules; that is the whole business.
